Last week we took the kids to Disneyland for Jaslyn's birthday.  We tried to Surprise them but it didn't work out that way.  I called Natalie's "Team Mom" (coach's wife) the day before and asked if they were going to have practice the next day, I told her we were planning on going to Disneyland and wanted to make sure they weren't going to have practice.  She said no.  Well that same day when I went after practice was over, Natalie and I were walking to the car and she yelled out "Have fun tomorrow at Disney" Natalie looked at me with a confused look and said "what'd she say? Are we going to Disneyland?" I tried to play it off but I couldn't.  So she knew but I told her not to tell Eric and Jazzy.  Well that morning before heading to Disneyland I added the address to my phone so we can get directions on how to get there.  I never use my phone for directions, I always use the navigation in the car but I didn't want Eric to see me type in the address which was Disney Way.  So i input on my phone and right away it said "Directions to Disneyland" or something along those lines.  I tried to cover the speaker but they heard.  First thing out of Jaslyn's mouth was "Mommy did you hear!!!! She said DISNEYLAND!!"  George and I couldn't help but laugh and smile to see how excited she was.  Eric asked in a soft voice, "is that where we're going?"  I couldn't lie to him, so I nodded yes.  Jazzy on the other hand we kept it a secret from her the whole way there.  We parked walked to the tram and she was so excited just to ride the tram LOL George finally told her there, she smiled from ear to ear and then asked me "We're going to disneyland???" she wanted to confirm LOL

She had such a good time!  She had been there before when she was 10 months old but she was too young to remember anything, so really this was more like her first time.  Can you believe she rode on Space Mountain........TWICE!! This girl has no fear.  Everytime after we took her on a kiddy ride, she'd say "I WANNA RIDE ON A ROLLER COASTER!!" LOL She loves the fast rides :)

We waited an hour to ride the cars ride! It was worth it though :)

My baby is growing up! It's crazy how fast time flies.  I'm not surprised, I've always felt that way with all my children but for some reason the past four years have gone even quicker.  She's 4 years old but acts like a 10 year old.  She has an attitude, a very bad temper but most of all she's the sweetest most caring little girl I've ever met.  She's so tender and loving.  She loves to help and to things for others.  If her brother isn't feeling well, she'll go up and beyond to make sure he's comfortable wether it's getting him some water, or a blanket she just loves to help.  She amazes me how smart she is, how mature she thinks and how incredible her mind works.  She remembers EVERYTHING!  She's talks a lot, asks a lot of questions and is the biggest goofball on this planet :)  She's just a joy to be around.

Thank you Jaslyn for being who you are, for making us laugh and showing us how to love and be friendly to one another.  Your the love of our life, along with your siblings and we thank god to have blessed us with a little girl like you.  We love you, always and forever!! Happy Birthday my precious Jas!!

And just for fun and to always remember, the things you say.........

Every time she's watching a movie or cartoons and something happens that can't happen in real life..... for instance a pig flying, or a horse talking she'll say the following......

"Mommy, horsies don't talk do they"? or " Cats don't wear boots! LOL

"Mommy, daddy knows everything huh? ....... he sure doooooes huh mommy?"

"I want 5 car seats so I can choose where I want to sit"

We have a Suburban and sometimes she wants to sit way in the back but her carseat is in the front and I always tell her she can't sit back there because she doesn't have a carseat back there  and it's too much trouble to move it :)

"When I grow up I wanna be a cooker (a cook/chef) and a softball player"

"I loooove my new Jacket, it's nice and cozy"

"Look Mommy I'm bigger now!"

"Am I taller today?"

"Mommy, say hi to my friend, her name is Mia"  (her imaginary friend)

I can go on and on but those are a few things she's said and says daily LOL

I'm slacking, I haven't whipped out my camera in a few weeks.  Good thing for my iPhone.  Last week was fun.  We did so many things with the kids and without the kids.  It's nice to have some alone time from time to time with just the hubby and I.  Besides, the kids had a blast spending it with their grandparents.   Saturday we went to the Dodger game with the kids at Dodger Stadium.  The Dodgers won so you know it was a good time.

So all those pictures above were from Saturday.  Sunday we woke up late, had breakfast, got ready and took the kids to my Mother-in-laws house.  They spent the night.  Grandma cooked them a home made pizza and chicken noodle soup.  They were in heaven.  My kids LOVE to eat! :) George and I went to celebrate our good friends birthday.  We went to a comedy club in Long Beach, then hit the bar for some drinks.  We got a room that was walkable to where we were.  Monday we woke up and went back to the Dodger game.  We were soooooo tired.  George and I got there early to the game so we took a snooze while the boys in blue took batting practice.  It was a long weekend but a fun one!

Can I brag about my oldest child just for a minute? :)  Ok, I wouldn't say brag but more like talk about her.  I'm so proud of her, she's been doing so well at Softball.  Spring Season ended yesterday and her and her team ended the season with 19 wins and ZERO losses!! Pretty impressive right?  They all played so well, trained hard and practiced so much.  This year has been the best for Natalie.  She improved her hitting and base running.  Saturday was so crazy.  She had her second playoff game on Saturday morning and the final championship game later that evening. It was so nerve wrecking, they came a long way and I didn't want them to lose it all in the end.  I was jumping off my seat, my head was pounding, my shoulders and neck would tense up and I was just worried for them.  In the final game they won by 1 run! It was so close, but they WON!

She created new friendships and most of all had a blast playing the game she loves.

Her coaches did an outstanding job! We're all very thankful.

The Season ended and now a new one begins.  She's playing All Stars now and is representing her city and league with other surrounding cities and counties. She's non-stop I tell you.  I'm all for it though.  If this is something she really loves and wants to do, then we'll stand with her and follow her on this journey.  It takes a lot of dedication, and commitment on her part.  Plus she's a teenager now, and anything that keeps her busy and learning, then we're all for it :)

Good Job Natalie, daddy and I are very proud of you baby! We love you monkey :)

Lately my husband and I have been trying to eat healthier, cleaner and most of get fit.  I've always loved running.  My husband on the other hand not so much.  I just love the way I feel after running.  I feel good about myself and most times it gives me energy.  I won't lie though, last week I ran 4+ miles and I was exhausted. I was ready for a nap and my head was pounding.  I didn't have a good breakfast that morning and I didn't drink plenty of water so I'm assuming that was the reason.  A few days ago, my hubby and I ran together for the first time.  He did do good. We ran 4.57 miles according to Nike+  My goal is to run 5 miles in under and hour.  We ran those 4+ miles in 45 minutes.  We were beat :)

Last week we also bought these Caprese salad packages from Costco.  They were so good but kind of expensive.  So this week we took a trip to Trader Joes and bought all the ingredients to make it myself. Turned out so good and it was so easy to make.  A lot cheaper too :)  Check out the pic above.

We took this photo on Tuesday, I believe.  Jazzy and I were in line waiting for Eric and Natalie to get out of school.  It was such a beautiful day.  Natalie had a playoff game and her team won once again. They're headed to the Championship game which is a little later today.  I can't wait.  I'm so excited for them.  I really hope they win.
This is the park where Natalie has her softball games.  Isn't it beautiful? We love it there.
Hope you're all having a great weekend!
